Audain Art Museum

Activity Type Indoor

Don’t let the Whistler postcode fool you into thinking this is just a resort-town gallery. The Audain Art Museum is a genuinely world-class institution and one of the finest art museums in BC. The permanent collection takes visitors on a visual journey from the late 18th century to the present, with highlights including an exceptional collection of Indigenous masks, the largest permanent display of paintings by Emily Carr, and key examples of the Vancouver photo conceptualism movement.

The building itself is a striking piece of modern West Coast architecture, located in Whistler’s North Village just across from Day Lots 3 and 4 — making it one of the easiest major attractions in Whistler to reach from the RV parking area. Plan for at least two hours, more if you want to take in one of the rotating special exhibitions. A brilliant option for a rainy day, or a quiet morning before the mountain gets busy.

RV Parking: Day Lot 3 East oversized vehicle area, a short walk away. Current rate around $20/day. No overnight parking in Whistler lots.

Hours: Thursday–Monday, 11:00am–6:00pm. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cost: Adults ~$25, check website for current rates. Admission by donation on special occasions.
